Made using next generation acrylic resins, all FENIX NTM worktops deliver extremely low light reflectivity resulting in breathtaking ultramatt aesthetics. FENIX NTM is made using a proprietary technology that creates a surface which is soft to the touch and anti-fingerprint, providing a luxurious centrepiece for your kitchen with a premium feel that only requires simple everyday care.

NTM stands for NanoTech Matte. 

The main properties are:

1. low light reflectivity, extremely matte surface;

Created with proprietary technologies, the external surface of FENIX is characterised by the use of next generation acrylic resins, hardened and fixed through an Electron Beam Curing process. This makes you experience unique features. At first glance, the surfaces strike for their super-matt appearance. By touching them, you feel how pleasantly soft they are, with the further surprise of leaving no fingerprints. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible.  

UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

When viewed under a microscope, you can see that the structure of FENIX is like a landscape with uneven peaks and valleys. When light waves hit the surface, the angle of incidence is not the same everywhere. Therefore, light reflects in different directions. This is what makes FENIX matt. 

The thermal-healing properties of FENIX NTM allow you to repair superficial micro-scratches meaning your FENIX NTM worktops will look stunning for years to come.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES revolutionise design

FENIX products are made of paper (over 60%) and thermosetting resins (30 - 40%). The FENIX products are created by a pressing process in which heat and pressure are applied simultaneously in order to obtain a homogeneous non-porous product.

The core structure is composed of paper, impregnated with thermosetting resins. The outer surface is treated with next generation acrylic resins, which are hardened and fixed through an Electron Beam Curing process.

With low light reflectivity, the FENIX surface is extremely opaque, soft touch and anti-fingerprint. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible.

Solid FENIX NTM worktops Solid FENIX NTM is the ultimate contemporary kitchen worktop. Featuring an ultra-modern slimline 12mm profile, these worktops combine technical excellence with unmatched style. Bonded FENIX NTM worktops have a standard 39mm profile. EVERYDAY CLEANING

Cleaning FENIX means cleaning its structure. You can do this with warm water. As FENIX is a strong material, you can also use any household cleaner – even solvents like acetone* if needed. However, to avoid damaging the structure, don’t scrub it with abrasive cream, a scouring pad or a hard brush; in the long-term, this might lead to a glossy spot on your matt surface. Instead, you can use a melamine sponge – also known as a magic sponge.

As a final step, to avoid anything staying behind in the structure – whether that’s dirt or residue from your cleaner – always rinse afterward with warm water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.

How to clean FENIX®: DOs and DON'Ts. FENIX is a strong material with a matt surface: almost all regular household cleaning products can be safely used, but it's essential to follow these three simple rules: 1. Remove dirt using household cleaners or even acetone, 2. Don't damage the microstructure: do not use abrasive cream, scouring pad or hard brush, 3. Avoid leaving anything behind in the structure always rinse with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.

No special maintenance is required: just a damp cloth with warm water and a household degreaser. Almost all regular household cleaning products or disinfectants can be safely used. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible. By using an iron and a damp towel/cloth, thermal healing can be applied to the relevant area of the product if scratches have not penetrated the surface.
